Letter From the President

Hello! My name is Morgan Schenck and I take great pride in being the Chapter President for the women of Alpha Phi here at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Welcome to our website, where you can take a sneak peek into what Alpha Phi means to us and the countless opportunities and skills our women receive through their time in this sisterhood.

Alpha Phi’s mission statement is a sisterhood of women supporting one another in lifelong achievement. Our members, here at UNK, exemplify our mission by carrying out our sorority’s four high ideals which are: generosity, sisterhood, character, and innovation. We have women that are Student Senators in Student Government, women that are creating mission trip organizations like Volunteers Around the World, as well as women that are creating and collaborating a skills program with a fraternity on campus for local Kearney students to learn proper etiquette in business, dining, and dancing.

I never imagined I would be the president of Alpha Phi. In the past year and a half, I have had the opportunity to create the most amazing lifelong friendships from the most loyal and driven women I know. I am truly blessed to have gone through the formal recruitment process and joined this amazing chapter. Alpha Phi’s website can show you a glimpse of what our sorority does during the school year in regard to community service, scholarship, social media, and so much more! I hope you can see why Alpha Phi means so much to myself and our members and why we joined something grander than ourselves.

Love & AOE,
Morgan Schenck, Chapter President

About Us

The skills gained in Alpha Phi have taken us to lead across campus. Our leadership shows through Student Government, athletics, honors programs, bible studies, UNK Spirit Squads, Loper Leaders, Chancellor Ambassadors and everything in between. Our Loper pride shines through in all our organizations and we are thankful for the opportunities to grow as leaders.

Alpha Phi holds two philanthropys each year, our King of Hearts male pageant and our Red Dress Poker Tournament. Each event being popular to students on campus and to the Kearney Community. Alpha Phi’s national philanthropy is Women’s heart health and we pride ourselves each year in the donations we are able to give back to this cause.

One of Alpha Phi's core values is innovation. With a variety of majors from Pre-Nursing to Elementary Education to Psychobioglogy, our sisters are working hard in the classroom to earn phi-nominal grades and pave the way for future students. During our Fall 2017 semester we earned an average GPA of a 3.60, which is 30 of 32 semesters of having the highest Sorority and Fraternity life GPA.
