It's been a busy month here at the Delta-Xi chapter of Alpha Phi. Our Red Dress Poker Tournament on March 2nd raised $9,170 for the Alpha Phi Foundation, benefitting women's heart health. Over 200 players were present at the UNK Health and Sports Center to participate, competing for top prizes including an Xbox and a TV. The women of Alpha Phi would like to thank everyone who participated, volunteered, and donated to our event, making Red Dress Poker Tournament 2017 a huge success!
On the morning of Saturday, March 4th, Alpha Phi hosted Francis E. Willard Day. All sororities on campus were invited, encouraging a Panhellenic community by celebrating our power as Greek Women- in us, our bodies, and within those around us. The activities included were centered on our own strengths, as we the visited the Women's Center, listened to an Alumna speak, and did Zumba.
We have several exciting events coming up to look forward to. Spring break is next week and with many Alpha Phi's traveling together on vacations or trips, we can't wait to see photos and hear stories! April 1st is our Mom's Day, a chance to share the beloved sisterhood of Alpha Phi with the women we love the most, our moms. April 8th will be our Senior Awards Night, a banquet to honor our seniors and all of their accomplishments.
